This privacy policy applies to the FluenScene app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Khansar Labs (collectively, the “Application”). Khansar Labs is hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”.

Artificial Intelligence
The Application uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance user experience and provide certain features. The AI components may process user data to deliver personalized content, recommendations, or automated functionalities. All AI processing is performed in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable laws. If you have questions about the AI features or data processing, please contact the Service Provider.
The Service Provider may use the information you provide to send important information, required notices, and, where permitted by law, marketing communications.
For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Email Address, User ID, Google Account Information, Purchase History. The information the Service Provider requests will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
International Data Transfers
The Service Provider or its third-party service providers may transfer personal data to countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the Service Provider will use appropriate mechanisms.

Your Opt-Out Rights
You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties.

Data Retention Policy

Permissions, Media Access, and AI Processing
The Application may request access to certain device features and permissions in order to provide its core functionality. This includes access to the device microphone for speech recognition, English fluency assessments, voice-based learning activities, and other features that require spoken user input. Audio access is used solely for these educational and interactive purposes and is not used for advertising, profiling, or unrelated tracking activities. Spoken responses may be processed through speech recognition technologies and converted into text in order to generate fluency evaluations, personalized feedback, and learning recommendations.
The Application may also request access to videos stored on your device to allow you to browse, select, and play your own video content for language learning purposes. Video files are accessed only when selected by you and are not uploaded, shared, or processed beyond what is necessary to provide playback, subtitle support, language analysis, and related educational features. The Service Provider does not claim ownership of any media content selected by users.
To provide AI-powered educational features, portions of user-provided content, including text generated from speech recognition, subtitles, user interactions, learning preferences, and related educational inputs, may be transmitted to trusted artificial intelligence service providers for processing. These services are used exclusively to generate explanations, fluency assessments, learning assistance, recommendations, and other educational functionality requested by the user. The Service Provider does not sell personal information to AI providers, and information shared with such providers is limited to what is reasonably necessary to deliver the requested feature.
The Application may utilize third-party services and infrastructure providers including, but not limited to, Google Play Services, Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Firestore, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Play Billing, speech recognition services provided by the device or operating system, artificial intelligence service providers, and user-selected AI providers accessed through user-supplied API keys. These providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies, terms of service, and contractual obligations. The Service Provider takes reasonable measures to work only with service providers that offer appropriate safeguards for user data and comply with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
User-Provided AI API Keys and Subtitle Generation
The Application may allow users to optionally provide their own third-party artificial intelligence service API keys, including but not limited to API keys issued by AI providers such as Grok, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other compatible AI services. These API keys are provided solely by the user and are used to authenticate requests made to the selected AI provider for features such as subtitle generation, subtitle translation, language analysis, educational explanations, and other AI-powered functionality.
Where technically implemented, user-provided API keys are stored locally on the user’s device and are not transmitted to, collected by, sold to, or permanently stored on the Service Provider’s servers. The Service Provider does not have access to user billing information associated with third-party AI provider accounts.
When a user chooses to use a third-party AI provider through their own API key, certain information required to perform the requested feature may be transmitted directly to that AI provider. Such information may include selected subtitle content, portions of audio-derived text, language preferences, prompts, or other content necessary to generate the requested output. The processing of such information is governed by the privacy policy and terms of service of the selected AI provider.
Users are solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their API keys, complying with the terms of service of the selected AI provider, monitoring usage associated with their account, and any fees or charges incurred through their use of third-party AI services.
The Service Provider is not responsible for the privacy practices, security measures, data processing activities, service availability, account restrictions, billing practices, or policy changes of third-party AI providers. Users should review the privacy policies and terms of service of any AI provider before submitting API credentials or using AI-powered features.
The Application may transmit requests through infrastructure operated by the Service Provider when necessary to facilitate functionality, improve reliability, enforce usage limits, or provide compatibility between the Application and supported AI services. In such cases, the Service Provider will take reasonable measures to minimize the information processed and protect data during transmission.
Children
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market the Application to them.
Where parental or guardian consent is required under applicable law, the Application is not intended for use without that consent. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age in violation of applicable law. In the event the Service Provider discovers that a child has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided the Service Provider with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (contactsanjaygireesh@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
Data Breach Notification
If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including, where required, providing information about the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.
Changes
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy with an effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect.

Your Consent
Where processing is based on consent, you provide that consent by affirmatively opting in to the relevant feature or action. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Processing based on other lawful bases is carried out as described above.
